Cory Ezekial Jones was not a planned child. In fact, he was a highly unexpected child. His parents had been unable to have a baby for years, and so when his mother learned she was pregnant they couldn't be more ecstatic. They were even more ecstatic when a visit to the doctors months later showed two heart beats on the sonogram. They were happy to be double blessed with two sons instead of one. However, when delivery time came it seemed Cory didn't wish to share the limelight with his twin. His little brother was born malnourished, too small and deformed. He died a couple hours after being born, and so the somewhat disheartened parents gave their remaining son both names. Cory became Cory Ezekial Jones. It wasn't a strange occurrence, one twin feeding off the other but that wasn't the only time Cory seemed to want all the attention.
Being a "miracle" baby, he was spoiled from the moment he let out his first scream. His parents indulged him and didn't teach him the meaning of the word no. When he was five and wanted to paint his room himself they got him buckets of paint and let him go. It ended up looking like a storm of paint had splattered the walls, and he kept it that way. It sort of mirrored the way he himself was. A storm of energy, he was an energetic child who couldn't keep still. He was always running around or doing something. He also wasn't ever a sad child. He could be found laughing more often then not, and trying to make others laugh was a hobby he had.
He realized at the age of 8 what it was he wanted to do with his life. He had heard the song "Thriller" and decided that singing would be his passion. He wanted to be just like Michael Jackson, and he was Michael Jackson every year for halloween until he was 14. He begged his parents for singing lessons and as usual they gave in. Two weeks into the class and they all had to admit, including his teacher that there was something about his voice that just might take him places if he'd learn how to use it.
His father tended to spend most of his time at work, and when he was home Cory was usually asleep. He spent most of his time with his mother who taught him how to bake, and often asked him to help her with her make up. Perhaps so much time spent with his mother and not enough time with his father is what resulted in his rather flamboyant tendencies, leaving many who met him asking if he was gay. Of course, the fact that he grew into being a rather pretty young boy wasn't much of a help. Many people had trouble distinguishing if he was a boy or girl, until he opened his mouth. This led to problems throughout middle school, but by high school the kids he went to school with had started to get over it.
When ninth grade rolled around he did what any respectable teenage boy does. He started a band. It only consisted of four people to begin with, but quickly spread to six as his vision for stardom got larger. Of course he had lead vocals covered, but unlike other lead vocals he couldn't play the guitar to save his life. It seemed to work out however, despite the many member changes and name changes the band went through. The name they settled on was GTFO and their sound was soon well established.
They stayed close through out high school, going from Cory's garage (his parents were the only one's who would let the boys play at all hours) to shit hole clubs. In his senior year however, they finally hit it big. His parents were supportive enough to tell him to go for it, and he chose getting his GED instead of finishing high school so he could pursue ultra stardom, and bringing the band's music to the masses. He was excited and utterly in his element with the screaming fans and new status.
Random Facts
- His favorite movie is The Last Unicorn. His mother made him watch it when he was five and he's been hooked on it ever since. When anything major happens, he watches it - his ideal significant other would be someone who would be able to sing "Now that I'm a woman" word by word loudly and off key with him.
- He sometimes dresses like a girl and goes out with his friends. On such occasians he calls himself "Alice". He likes to see how many people will actually think he's a girl, he happens to find it hilarious.
- He has yet to have his first kiss, mainly because he's too shy to ever admit he likes someone. He might appear confident (and he does) but deep down he's too nervous to ever try anything with anyone. He had a girlfriend once, in fifth grade but that ended when she gave Billy a valentine because Cory does not share well with others.
- He loves mexican food with an unholy passion. He'd live on it if he could, and practically does. He eats like an army and doesn't watch what he puts in to his mouth and still manages to keep trim.
- He hates drugs, and if he found out anyone in the band did them he'd most likely throw a fit. He doesn't do drugs, and he refuses to let people he knows do them either. Not that he can actually stop them, but he wont listen to them if they talk about them.
